Hi, we're the 4 Johnson sisters! We started TAPfit because of our gorgeous mom, Maryanne.
After having kids and going through menopause, mom's body changed, and we watched her struggle for years to lose weight. She joined weight-loss groups, tried liquid diets, spent hours on a treadmill daily - and nothing worked. She would say things like "My body just can't lose weight" or "I just have to look at carbs and I gain weight".
She stopped wearing clothes she loved, her confidence slipped away and worst of all, she stopped having the energy to play with her grandkids.
It was heartbreaking to watch.
We wanted to do everything we could to help her lose weight and have more energy - but she isn't 25 anymore, and the programs she tried were all jumping, high-impact and way too hard.
So as World Champion Dancers, we decided to create a low-impact program to help our Mom lose weight, increase her strength, and get toned - simply by dancing! We knew this would give her the energy to do what she really loves - spending time with her family and grandkids.
